This is the first time I’ve done this but I want my local friends in the San Bernardino Mountain area from Crestline to Big Bear to know about a good man. It’s cold up here in these mountains. In the 20’s and 30’s plus we’ve had some big storms with hurricane force winds which means trees down and power outages. I must admit I’ve been bragging because 11 years ago I bought a natural gas 8k Generac Full house generator. Power goes out generator goes on. Heat, lights, TV, never an interruption in life. Well after 11 years, like an 11-year-old car, it went dead. We suffered through a very cold night being 84 years old and both of us with disabilities and a cat which means you can’t just jump in your car anymore and go someplace comfy. We needed a Generac engineer like a specialist doctor. There are about 3 of them on the mountain and they are all booked for at least 2 months. They don’t answer their phone. you just leave a message. One of them, John Hunter owner of Hunter Electric was one of my calls and like the others his answer was we are booked and busy but he answered the call so I could speak to him with an explanation. When I explained that we are both 84 and have disabilities and by the way freezing, to my surprise, the next morning there was a mechanic outside in 30 degree rain with high wind blowing, working on my generator. It turned out among other issues, it needed a new starter. John Hunter used his influence with Generac and yesterday, with not even a knock at the door, John’s son Jason was installing the new starter which was expedited by Generac shipping with John’s influence. Every once in a while you find a person who understands a person’s condition and won’t stop helping and working until that person is safe. Thank you John and your workers and family at J C HUNTER Electric for being understanding and human. We need more like you.
